The Solution focused approach for a better world, step by step.
This site is about how the principles of the solution focused approach, developed initially by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg, two American social workers, can be used to move step by step towards a better world on a global level, by reducing social, gender, racial, ethnic and economic inequalities, addressing environmental issues, intolerance, racism, helping victims of wars, natural disasters, refugees. In short, helping those less fortunate than we are today.
It is meant to be a tool in making people being aware that they can do something for our world, that even little steps can make a big difference, and that it's worthwhile to act, for us, for our children, our grandchildren, our friends, the friends of our friends and their friends (according to the "six-degrees of separation" theory, everyone in the world is separated from everyone else by six links).
Finally, also via our Facebook-community, it's a platform for exchanges of your ideas about little steps that can be used for global issues, and a forum for professionals and interested people in the field of the solution focused approach and/or environmental/humanitarian issues, which are kindly invited to give their input. We need your ideas, the project is also aimed to grow using the principles of "collective intelligence".
